Why does the Dental Pod not have UV?
UV light isn’t effective when the appliance is sitting in dirty or cloudy water. The light can’t reach all surfaces because even very small amounts of debris in the water blocks it. Instead, the Dental Pod uses best-in-class ultrasonic cleaning technology, which physically removes buildup and works reliably across the whole surface, even in hard to reach areas.

I am in love with my Zima Dental Pod. I was brushing my retainers with toothpaste, and then I started using Clorox or Hydrogen Peroxide. That is, until I discovered the Dental Pod and realized the huge mistakes I was making in my attempt to prevent my retainers from smelling or turning a horrible brown color. Ordering was easy. I did not realize that I needed to order the tablets and consequently I ran out and am waiting for the delivery. Now, I might need to order the wipes to clean the Xima dental pod, although it is still very new and seems fine. My night guard is still pristine as I have had it less than 2 weeks and got the Xima pod immediately. My appliance has never been discolored.

Love this dental pod. My nightguards never looked so clean. Before, I used a cup & brush with the typical cleaning tablets like polydent or other brands from Amazon. I thought it was good enough till a friend recommended it to try the Zima Dental pod. Never heard of it back then, but I knew my mouthpiece was not as "clear" as it was when I first got it. I gave it a try (sure it was not cheap, but why be cheap when it comes to health items). After the first cleaning...it looked like new. I could not believe I was putting a nasty nightguard in my mouth every night. I've viewed reviews on reddit about the cost of the tablets and people skimp out and use the store tablets I used before. The ones from Zima are definitely worth the investment especially if you are allergic to the ingredients in the store bought brands. After, using these for a couple of weeks, I noticed that my sinus was not stuffy in the mornings like before. I never knew I was allergic or reacted to the ingredients from the other tablets. Get these and don't be cheap when it comes to your health.

Delivery was fast. My appliance was full of tartar and after several uses the tartar significantly diminished. I would’ve liked to have received more tablets with the machine than actually came. I did order more tablets, however, they are quite pricey. I do recommend this machine and it definitely works on cleaning your dental appliance.

I wear a partial denture at age 75…the Zima saves my life. I have used the original for several years but recently bought the updated one for my vacation home. Brilliant design modifications… don’t hesitate to buy one. I also use the tablets not every time but most of the time and my partial looks like it’s been cleaned at the dentist office. I tried to minimize as many chemicals in my life as possible so I really like that they have eliminated some of the harsh chemicals that are used in the other cleaning agents.
I usually didn’t clean my night guard and retainer every day. This is the first time I have ever had purchased or used a cleaning pod. My dentist didn’t recommend a cleaning machine. In the past, I purchased retainer tablets from Amazon and used a glass measuring cup for cleaning. Now that I have Zima Dental Pod and soaking tablets, I am cleaning my guard and retainer everyday. They are as bright as when I first got them from my dentist, smell great too.
