We have specifically formulated our tablets to enhance the cavitational cleaning effect of your Dental Pod. We recommend adding a tablet if you wear your appliance for more than 6 hours at a time. This is because scientific research has suggested that harmful bacterial biofilms start to form on your appliance at this stage, increasing your risk of poor dental hygiene, and making appliance hygiene all the more important! Plus, our tablets aid in the removal of particularly stubborn stains and leave a refreshing mint aftertaste on your appliance.
Our tablets contain carefully selected ingredients to maximize cleaning and ensure safety for you, your appliance, and your Pod. They assist the physical ultrasonic clean, whilst helping eliminate pathogens on your appliance and leaving your appliance with a fresh, minty taste.
Some other brands have been found to damage and corrode the Dental Pod's tank due to their aggressive chemicals. Most tablets use a decades-old generic formula designed for dentures, which can be damaging for plastic appliances and oral health. I have been using dental trays for about 14 years and the Zima Dental Pod and tablets are the best solution for clean dental trays I’ve ever found! The photos shared are progress pictures of before and after using the Zima Dental Pod and tablets. I was so impressed with how clean my dental trays became. I tell everyone who I notice is wearing dental appliances about the Zima Dental Pod.
My mouth guard is at least 85% clean from decades of cleaning with toothbrush and toothpaste. I’m thoroughly impressed.
I only have the after pictures, sadly. However , my retainers are 27 months old and were only Dentist cleaned once in all that time. So they both had lots of yellow stains and scale on them. But I followed the instructions in the Zima owners manual and soaked them 10 minutes in the Zima tablets per day followed by 2 back to back cleaning cycles for two weeks and you can see the results. The upper retainer is like brand new-no scale or yellowing.The lower retainer is free of scale and about 98% free of yellowing. I am thrilled and astonished!
These tablets and little pod machine makes such a big difference. I received the Zima DentalPod for Christmas and it surely does the job. My mouthguard always feels so clean. Love it
Overall, the pod has cleaned my dental device, but it did not remove the stains. I can tell it’s cleaner because the surface is smooth and clean, but I was disappointed that the stains are still there after months of cleaning with the pod.

I had my doubts, but the Zima Pro Pod definitely works! My night retainers are clear now! They also feel fresher. The commercials say you don’t need to use tablets, but I did buy the Zima peppermint dissolving tablets to add to the water in the pod and I like them. I do break the tablets in quarters so that they go farther because they are a little pricey. I would make this purchase again. In fact, I am considering buying the travel version.
Good product but it does not whiten my retainer. Retainer is still yellow. But it’s clean.
The before and after pictures were 10 days apart. I pre-soaked my aligners for 20 minutes with a tablet every day and used the extended clean option. There is a modest improvement and the amount of embedded plaque was reduced. Frankly, I was hoping for more significant results but given the age of the aligners the unit was still a worthy investment. Your customer service and follow up contributed to the score I provided. Overall works well, I’ve had my retainer for about 3 or 4 years so it really needed a good cleaning.

Or use “Very satisfied customer” My night guard had been looking really bad for a few years and no matter how much I brushed it, it was turning greyish and I don’t even recall the original color!! I saw these Zima ads in fb and finally decided to give the Zima Dental Pro Pod a try. Am I glad I did! I soaked it in the Zima tablets first and then ran the ultrasonic cycle twice. I did this procedure twice a day for more than 2 wks. The pod is amazing and I could see the appliance turning lighter and clearer each day. I’ve had it since March and am happy to say it’s pretty much back to the original state. I’m only cleaning it once a day now and it’s still looking good! Thank you for this great product!! Highly recommend it!

Wish I’d bought this months ago! Bought the pro version for the deep clean function and absolutely no regrets. My nighttime mouth guard had gone yellow and scraped as I had cleaned it with toothbrush and toothpaste. Decided to try the pro with a deep clean as per instructions. It’s made such a difference and looks, smells and feels clean. I use the Ultrasonic Boosting Tablets and that leaves a lovely fresh minty smell. My mouth guard was really in an embarrassing state despite my best efforts at cleaning it. It was a dark yellow color and after a week of daily cleaning it (the 15-min super clean and a tablet) there is NO film on it, NO smell, and it’s gone from a dark yellow to clear with slight yellowing. I truly notice a huge difference! Wish I’d bought it sooner.
